Building upon the experience and skills gained through the initial FLICR project, FLICR+ is a year long fellowship available to Indigenous Eastern Himalayan community member researchers who have successfully completed a FLICR.

Conceived as a more ambitious, more independent, and longer-duration project, FLICR+ is designed to support projects with potentially high scholarly and heritage significance, and aims to empower community researchers to produce high-quality documentation that may also contribute to wider academic research and scholarship. Fellows are encouraged to build upon their previous experience and undertake projects of greater complexity, with outcomes that may be suitable for publication in academic journals. By providing the necessary support, FLICR+ seeks to strengthen community-led research, document and preserve valuable cultural and linguistic knowledge, and create opportunities for community researchers to make meaningful contributions to both their communities and the broader research landscape.
